Mahogany Dreams Flashmob Choreography

The cast and dancers of the 2012 production of Mahogany Dreams will have a broadway style flashdance in Detroit on Saturday April 14th. Music by Phredley and Choreography by Teyvn Cole.

*There will be group rehearsals of the dance closer to the performance date but dancers should study the video to learn the steps in preparation for the group performance. Every dancer will need to bring their own broom* (The dance is from a scene in the play)

Mahogany Dreams Broadway Style Flashdance

Everyone that auditions for Mahogany Dreams is also invited to participate in a Broadway Style Flashdance! The dance will be choreographed by native Detroiter Tevyn Cole of Disney's Dreamers academy. Auditon roles to be cast (some for understudy only)

Dream Johnson: (understudy) Female, early 20's, naive, bookish the story of Cafe Mahogany is told through her eyes

Zaire:Male, Dream's Love interest early 20's, poet, eceletic, very charming, he is the host of Cafe mahogany's poetry night

Cyphis: Male, 30-50 He is one of the owners of Cafe Mahogany, Very serious, stern

Mychelle Dawson, Female very over the top diva, very flamboyant

DJ IV: Cafe Mahogany House DJ

Poets: Please come prepared with a two minute poem

Dancers: Two min freestyle (music will be provided)

Singers: Two minute acapella
